Sometimes being an Event Photographer Sussex Surrey brings various challenges.
Being able to blend in and capture those candid moments can be tricky. Different tricks can be employed to be able to get those moments but I’m not sharing ha ha.
To stage up some groups and people having fun is an important part of event photography. You need the ability to be able to change personalitly quickly to encourage people. I know we all hate having photos taken, we all like to look our best. But to capture natural shots or sometimes staged but natural looking ones are key.
Part of this shoot was not only the candid reportage approach, but also formal groups. Award ceremony presentation photography and also a formal set up with a photo booth and props.
I bring with me a whole host of equipment and props to my events. Photo booths are becoming a regular thing at corporate events. It allows people to get a little silly, relax and this also helps break the ice at staff parties and events.

Awards are somethimes required to be recorded as part of the photographic process throughout an event. Formal capture can sometimes be rigid in it’s appearence. That’s normal. But to get the sitter to smile whilst holding the award without reflection in the photography is challenging too.
Every business needs photographic record of the event. It’s good for staff team building. It’s refreshing and fun.
Video too is becoming more common place at events and we here at Barney Warner Photography can supply this too. Using various new technology and techniques. Presnted in a short punchy motion movie. With titles, chapters and credits if needed.
This particular event was held at the Metropole in Brighton, with it’s vast event rooms and corridors it is easy to get lost.
It offers great space to set up equipment for photo booths and formal capture set ups. Studio lighting is great at events and always attracts a crowd. I think this could also be partly due to the inflatable monkey though 🙂
