Newborn photographer- The Warner family grows!!

My brother and his wife just recently had Twins! That’s 2 sets in our family now, crazy times, my wife and I have twins too. I had the pleasure of course of capturing their first portraits! Baby photography is notorious for being difficult, but the twins were great to work with. It’s vital you photograph babies within 14 days of their birth, this way they are nice and relaxed, and easy to move into different poses. Ok granted not all babies are text book portrait sitters, but that comes with the job unfortunately. Just recently I was photographing a baby and dad, when the baby decided to have a ‘number 2’ all down daddy’s tummy. It all happens on baby shoots trust me, but I’m used to it. I photograph lots of children and babies, it’s not my main expertise being a Sussex newborn photographer but I enjoy the love in the room. It’s beautiful to see that instant love between the baby and parent. With my professional lighting experience I manage to capture something a little different from the rest. Have a look below at the examples. .

Head shot Photography – You need it

Many businesses now have multiple employees, the websites often have a list of the employees with a portrait of that employee or maybe team shots. What stands out the most is a professional head shot. Too many times I see that the company have taken a dodgy shot on their phone and uploaded it. This is a major fault with lots of websites. It’s the first place a client will look to see what experience the company has, with a phone portrait of an employee screams rubbish, amature and the company doesn’t really care. It’s imperative to employ a professional photographer with lighting and a solid camera, spend some money and get some quality photography on your website, if you want people to take you seriously. You can find some examples of heads shots we’ve captured below, but not all need to be taken on the same backdrops. As a professional photographer being in the business many years now I’ve captured head shots in many many ways. Photographing at desks, on roof tops in London, by rivers and lakes, even up trees. It all depends on the nature of your business and what you do. If you are a corporate […]

A Brief History Of Family Portraits

Commissioning a family portrait is as popular now as it’s ever been. Some families want a one-off portrait that they can cherish forever, while others get one done every year to mark the changes in their ever growing family. However, having a family portrait done professionally, is by no means a modern experience. Family portraits have been around since the ancient civilisations. Here’s a brief look at the history of family portraits and how methods have changed throughout the ages. 16th Century Oil paintings of dynastic families were popular in the 1500s but only for the very rich and powerful. One of the most famous family portraits in history can be seen in the Haunted Gallery at Hampton Court Palace. It depicts Henry VII in a dominant and central position surrounded by his children and Jane Seymour, the mother of his only son, Edward. The actual artist is unknown, yet it’s believed that the family wouldn’t have posed together for the portrait. The children were rarely at court during the same time so the artist would have used other portraits as reference and taken sketches from memory. 19th Century The first type of commercial photography was introduced in the mid […]

5 Reasons Why Your Business Needs A Professional Photographer

The most crucial and fundamental aspect of any business, no matter how small, is marketing. Ultimately, you have a product or service that you want to sell. Good marketing involves making your business visible: getting out there and increasing your brand awareness, while using methods to make you stand out above the competition. That’s why using the right images to promote your brand and sell your products is essential. Professional photographs grab attention, display your company and your brand in the best possible way and boost your credibility. You may have the best business idea ever and offer amazing products and services. But if they aren’t marketed effectively, your business will suffer and ultimately, fail. So before you start snapping away with your smartphone, consider these 5 good reasons why your business needs a professional photographer. 1. Your Website Every business should have a website. It’s the first place prospective customers will go to. You will be judged by your content so the first impressions need to be positive. Written content is important, but the eyes are immediately drawn to images. That’s why they need to be professional and relevant. 2. Quality An amateur photo screams “unprofessional”. Images should help, […]

Some from today’s antics!!!

I’m always buzzing around Brighton, some of my best clients are based down that way so a lot of my photography happens that way. It’s tricky being asked to shoot in the winter but make look like the summer. I love a challenge, but to be honest I find it easy. Having been a commercial photographer for 14 years enables me to pull tricks from my bag that I’ve gained from experience. Have a look at the images below, we actually captured most of these just on the coast of Brighton and in the marina!

Henley On Thames

So the past few nights I’ve attended various towns across the South for a client to capture certain aspects. However… whilst on my travels I popped to Henley On Thames. Quite some distance from Crawley West Sussex, and I’d never been before. Whilst going over the Thames in the car I saw a few oppertunities for some landscapes. I arrived fairly earlier for the shoot so what the hell. After setting the tripod on a floating jetty and having to make a few adjustments to the shutter speed to compensate for the movement I nabbed the images below. I personally quite like the effect, the sun set and the long shutter speed for just the right amount of movement on the river. Not normally one to go and seek landscapes or even really considered myself as a true landscape photographer, but it’s something that I could get to love and can easily see what the attraction is for others. If you fancy letting me know your thoughts it’d be apprciated, or would like to know anymore about landscape photography or any aspect of photography for that matter feel free to drop me a line. I’m contemplating running a few photography […]

Lingfield Park event photography

So the Christmas parties have started…. This week I’ve been busy hanging out in Narnia! Check out the amazing venue transformation in the images below of this amazing setting at Lingfield Park racecourse. There are many events and corporate parties that I attend throughout December covering for clients Chritmas Parties. Lingfield is a favourite of mine, but this year I was blown away! Every little detail was on point, wardrobe, the Lion, beautiful snowy larches, silver everywhere and beautiful lighting with smoke and sound effects to match. An amazing backdrop for any event! The great Matty Evans was there too, he’s an amazing magician, the best I’ve seen.
