Yesterday’s cracking wedding went down at Southdowns Manor in Petersfield with Ellie and Ashley.

Incredible weather started the day off and on arrival it was apparent that this was gonna be a hot one! It was warm, it was only 10:30! Ellie and the girls were up in the hotel getting hair and make up done, Anna Hardiment was the MUA today and you can find her on Insta ‘@annahardimentmua’.
The flowers arrived and the most amazing wedding dress hung beautifully. The flowers were a wonderful tone to match the bridesmaids dresses. There was a buzz of excitement in the air and you could feel it as soon as you entered the room. Flowers today were by the amazing Wild Flower Studio (you can find them on ista @wildflowerstudio1) or www.wildflowerstudioflourists.co.uk
The video guy today is Jack, SB_wedding videos and you can see his work on Insta or at www.somethingborrowed-films.com
Highly recommended, he’s funny, calm and professional.
I’ve known Ellie for years now, she is a horse mad nut, and her dad made a great joke about it in the speeches later in the day. She’s a little firecracker and was looking amazing.
The bridesmaids were popping corks and enjoying the atmosphere keeping the bride calm.
Ashley, a professional footballer currently playing for Crawley town, arrived with his groomsmen all dressed and ready for the day ahead. He’s a calm and chilled out chap, and was happy for me to take some prep photos for the boys too.
Before we knew it, Ellie was getting into the dress with a little help from Stephie in the Honeymoon suite. A beautiful room with the most amazing bath tub! I have also known Stephie for some time, having done plenty of family portraits for her in the past. Her girls are so sweet!
The groom was nervously waiting along with the family and guests.
The ceremony was taking place outside and the sun was beating down. There were the most wonderful white trees lining the entrance to the isle and flowering vines twisting round the woodwork surrounding the area. There had been some serious time and effort gone into this one.
The flower girls, page boys and bridesmaids entered first. Followed by the bride and her father. Ellie looked amazing gliding down the isle to meet her groom.
The ceremony was filled with love and laughter. Stephie did a wonderful emotional reading, with tears witnessed.
After the ceremony there was a drinks reception and sweet canapes.
We did a few group shots, tons of natural fun images and a few romantics. Then the couples Pugs arrived to Ashley’s suprise and we took some photos of them together.
Just before the wedding party were due to enter the breakfast room, I dashed in to capture a few room set shots. And then a brief shower of rain followed, fortunatley everyone was walking in at this point.
Whilst people ate, I took the time to rest and flick through the images I had captured. The couple had arranged food for me, which was amazing. Happy photographer…happy photos!
Speeches followed and there were some touching words from Ellies Father, her Grandfather, the Groom and the Bestman Ashley. The sister of the bride, Izzy did the most adorable speech. She spoke from the heart, and even nearly got me in tears!
Everyone then enjoyed a few more drinks, plenty of laughter and jokes. I took the couple out once again to complete the romantics. We went into the adjacent wheat field and captured some wonderful alone time landscape images.
Evening guests started to arrive and the place was filling up fast. With cutting the cake and first dance next my day was finished. I don’t think there was a single person standing on the side, the dance floor was packed. What a wonderful day.
Thank you Ellie and Ashley, I really enjoyed your wedding, thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. I wish you the very best future as the new Mr & Mrs Nadesan!
